    Event Description:

This program has been cancelled due to an unexpected schedule conflict for our speaker.  It will be rescheduled in 2018.

Charmaine Tang, Sr. Vice President, Philanthropic Market Executive, at U.S. Trust joins us to examine the giving and volunteering trends, behaviors, attitudes and priorities of wealthy American households. Her presentation is based upon the 2016 U.S. Trust Study of High Net Worth Philanthropy. This research is a biennial national sampling of wealthy donors, including for the first time this year, analysis based on age, gender, sexual orientation and race. The expanded methodology enables further exploration of the philanthropic trends, strategies and behaviors among the high net worth population.

Charmaine’s observations will provide nonprofit professionals with valuable insights into giving preferences and motivations for major gift prospects. Her straight-talk approach offers interesting perspectives on:
    • Wealthy donors’ motivations, values and personal fulfillment from charitable activity
    • The areas of giving that are perceived to create and provide the most impact
    • How high net worth donors make giving a family affair
    • The forecast for charitable giving from high net worth households
    • Wealthy donors’ expectations of nonprofits and the degree to which these expectations are being met

Full participation in this program is applicable for 1.0 points in Category 1.B –Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
