The Many Hats of the Meeting Coordinator
Wrangling an event or meeting into shape with the inevitable ever-changing variables defines the life of a meeting coordinator. Since it ranks as the 5th most stressful job in America according to CareerCast, (#4 is police officer) it's in your best interest to mitigate as many variables as possible so you too can have a life!
Our presenter, Leslie Baker, manages the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center where yearly typical attendance comes in around 75,000 guests and number of events averages 1000 per year. Prior to this role, she worked at Hallmark Cards and Cerner, also managing events. Leslie brings her experience in the event planning arena to share how careful planning, useful tools and positive attitude can go a long way towards lessening event planning issues -- and making the meeting coordinator's job more fun on a day to day basis.
